CES 2017 took place January 5th through the 8th in no other than the wonderful Las Vegas, Nevada. Of course JBKnowledge CEO, James Benham (@JamesMBenham), and JBKnowledge Inc. COO, Sebastian Costa (@sebastiancosta), joined in on all the tech festivities! James, on behalf of the ConTechTrio, shot video throughout much of CES 2017 that was live during the event on the ConTechTrio’s Periscope! Check out the most viewed @ConTechTrio Periscopes from the event below! You’ll get an inside look at CES and learn some of James’ favorite emerging construction tech, insurance tech, and even just new tech for your everyday life!
@Dell unveiled their new, interactive Dell Canvas at CES 2017! Not a stand alone computer, but the Dell Canvas is simply an additional monitor that enables users to easily and precisely draw and transfer work between the drawing tablet and a traditional monitor. Simply plug in the Dell Canvas to your existing monitor and easily work with your sketches, animations, and renderings!
@JamesMBenham attended the DAQRI (@DAQRI) reception where the latest DAQRI technology was on display. James’ favorites at DAQRI included the DAQRI Smart Glasses and the DAQRI Smart Helmet. One of James’ favorite DAQRI features is the thermal imaging that the DAQRI Smart Helmet provides.
@OtterBox is a popular choice among an array of consumers who are looking to protect their phones or tablets. Often revered for their reliability, durability, and customer service; James highly suggests OtterBox to protect your tech! At CES 2017 James got a full walk through by OtterBox of the newest cases and accessories that are set to hit the market this year!
@AutelRobotics specializes in drone and aerial photography devices. In this short 5 minute video, James is walked through the latest Autel Robotics drones including the X-Star Premium. Not only that, but Autel made a huge announcement at CES about software development kits and model release dates!
At Eureka Park, the startup hub of CES 2017, James and Sebastian go on a 45 minute tour of the latest startup technology! The worlds smallest astronomy camera TinyMOS, Tag Optics 3D renderings, Lotik wireless water sensors, NETATMO air quality monitor, Revolar personal safety monitors, and APPI-Com radio conferencing for mobile teams were some of their favorite startup tech from around the world at CES 2017!
James and Sebastian continue the tour through Eureka Park to bring you a video of startup technology as well as share some footage from the “big dogs” at CES 2017! Clim8 was the startup thermal clothing company that caught James’ eye due to it’s long battery life and visual appeal. Other startup tech favorites included GnarBox for easily trimming and sharing drone videos, Ability3d.com for 3D printing real metal parts at home, and the SUOMETRY live 3D 360 degree camera. The “big dogs” portion of the periscope featured the best in 3D printers from Flashforge, Airwolf, and more!
This 25 minute periscope takes you through the 3D printing and construction relevant tech at CES 2017! The Hatchbox Delta Style 3D printer, Makerbot, and Flashforge were some of the 3D printers that caught James’ attention at CES. Airbag deploying motorcycle suits, customizable LED light helmets, and window cleaning drones are some of the other tech James checks out.
In this short @ConTechTrio Periscope, James stops by the Vuzix booth where he tries out the Blade 3000 Smart Sunglasses. The @Vuzix Blade 3000 Smart Sunglasses were a favorite of James‘ as they actually look like fairly “normal” sunglasses that somebody would wear in everyday life. The Blade 3000 runs Android 5.0 and is even voice controlled!
Rescue Lens by Log Me In has been a favorite of James’ for many years already as he has even featured the brand in his past speaking presentations. Being a big fan of @LogMeInRescue, James and Sebastian stopped by their booth at CES to experience, hands on, how it feels to be able to see on a pair of glasses the annotations somebody else is making on a different computer screen.
Swagtron seemed to be the tech company that James was the most excited about at CES 2017. Understandably so when you consider the fact that James rides a hover board around the JBKnowledge office all day! @SwagTronUSA basically puts battery technology and electric motors on everything from electric scooters, hoverboards, to electric skateboards, and even bikes!
