JBKnowledge Intern Insight: Joseph Elandary
My name is Joseph Elandary, and I am a Junior Business Honors and Finance Major at Texas A&M University. This is my third week as a Business Development Intern with JBKnowledge, Inc.
I have spent most of my time these past weeks learning about the company and getting to know the people who work here. I can say without hesitation that it has exceeded every expectation I had when first applying. The company’s culture, vision, and employees are just a few of the factors that have wowed me.
One of the most exciting parts of working at JBKnowledge, Inc., though, is getting to learn from James Benham. James founded JBKnowledge, Inc. from his dorm room while attending Texas A&M University, and his passion for technology and excellence are the core of the company. Everyone around the office has great things to say about him, and he is also a guest speaker in two of my entrepreneurship classes at Texas A&M this semester.
I also have had the pleasure of working with Andy O’Nan, JBKnowledge’s Business Development Manager for the Central U.S. Andy is my direct manager and mentor, and he has made my transition into the company very smooth. He has basically taken me under his wing, shown me the ropes, and made himself available for questions whenever possible.
By the end of this internship I hope to gain a better understanding of small business management and growth. As a business development intern I will get to work in sales, speak with company managers, and sit down once a month with James and the other interns and talk about what we’ve learned and how we can improve our business development process.
I look forward to the rest of my time here at JBKnowledge, Inc., and I shall leave you with this tidbit:
