JBKnowledge Intern Insight: Kevin Rushing
My name is Kevin Rushing and I am a part of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2016. I recently changed my major to Construction Science and I have loved every minute of it. I am currently enjoying the end of my first month as a Student Intern at JBKnowledge, Inc.
When I first heard of this job opportunity, I was in an eager search for a job before the academic semester began. This came about through the Industry Relations office at Texas A&M in the Construction Science department. I immediately contacted the company to set up an interview and I was clueless about what my responsibilities would entail. As I learned more about the company and their products, I grew more and more excited to start working here.
Working here is always very interesting whether it is staying on your toes while talking to general contractors or trying to figure out new technologies. Learning about all this technology has definitely been a challenge, but through it I have learned many helpful skills which will help me in this job and in any other future jobs I might have.
The atmosphere in the office is very lively thanks to James Benham and the other people in the office. James is the founder and owner of JBKnowledge, Inc. and he has been instrumental with adapting to the job and work environment here. I am very excited about working for him because he is always willing to help us with things inside and outside of the office.
I have been working with Chad Broome, who is the Business Development Manager for the Eastern U.S. Region here at JBKnowledge, Inc. He has helped me with my many questions and shown great patience while I have gotten to know the products and technology. Thanks to him, I will grow in many aspects of being a contributing member of a busy workplace.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to intern with such a great company and with great people. I can’t wait to see the skills and relationships I develop as time goes on, here at JBKnowledge, Inc.
Thanks, and Gig’em
