JBKnowledge Intern Insight: Olivia Rascoe
This past week here at JBKnowledge has been a whirlwind of change and excitement. The JBKnowledge team increased in numbers within our new office for a few days as fellow employees from outside the state flew in to Bryan, Texas to regroup and brainstorm ideas for growth and improvement for the rest of the year and for the ongoing future of the company.
It has been wonderful to finally get to meet in person some of the employees we work with everyday through technology and collaborate on projects face to face while creating strong group efforts to carry through the next period of long distance coworking. Being able to do this while sharing the new office space has given everyone a new strong fresh start.
Currently, I have been privileged to gain insight into the promotion of our 2014 Construction Technology Report Survey under the guidance of our Marketing Director, Liz Welsh. This survey focuses on construction professionals and gathering data on not only what types of technology they are using, but also on how frequently it is used and why it is vital to their projects.
The importance of knowing who to market to when promoting a product or service is extremely crucial in order for the end goal to be successful. Becoming educated on the products of JBKnowledge (SmartBidNet, SmartCompliance, and SmartReality) has been my focus the past two months in order to fully understand how to share that knowledge with potential consumers in the best and most creative ways possible. As Benjamin Franklin stated, “An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.”
