JBKnowledge Intern Insight: Saikrishna Chitneni
Howdy!
My name is Saikrishna Chitneni, class of 2015 at Texas A&M University. It has been two weeks since I started at JBKnowledge as a Product Development Intern. I am currently working on the expansion of the SmartBidNet public registry of subcontractors for commercial construction. Being a Construction Management major, I can see the importance and impact of this project on the current commercial construction industry.
I feel privileged to work with our Product Division Director, Diego Heinrich, Team Lead, Rodrigo Arteaga, and Analyst, Adam Denno. My fellow intern Matt, who started at JBKnowledge two weeks ahead of me, has been of great assistance in introducing me to our project. With the instructions from the previous interns and supervision of the product team, Matt and I are working to improve the quantifiable quality of the database.
During the past two weeks here at JBKnowledge, I have had the opportunity to look at the latest electronics like the Oculus Rift, Google Glass and 3-D printer. I find it interesting how JBKnowledge has been researching all of the latest technologies to improve the virtual interface of construction buildings. I am really excited about the updates of the SmartReality Beta App and looking forward to its release to work on real time projects.
Working here at JBKnowledge for the last two weeks, I can see the efforts of all the teams in staying ahead of the curve by improving the software to make it more user-friendly for construction professionals. I am super amped up for the doors this internship is opening for me. I know I will be learning a lot about the construction industry and our product SmartBidNet.
