Requirements

Advanced English (spoken and written), with the confidence to communicate directly with clients and stakeholders
3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, ETL development, or production data support
Proven ability to analyze and reconcile data independently: detecting anomalies, tracing discrepancies, and explaining findings with evidence
Strong SQL skills, including query writing, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data validation
Ability to interpret functional specs, data dictionaries, and layout documents independently
Strong attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Judgment to validate and understand before executing, especially in production environments
Proactive communication style, escalating early when blocked or when requirements are unclear

Experience in regulated data environments such as insurance, healthcare, or financial services
Experience with data migration or conversion projects (TPA-to-TPA, ERP migrations, or similar)
Previous experience in production support roles within data environments
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent practical experience considered)

Technical Skills

Flat files (CSV, fixed-width, delimited, pipe-separated): parsing, transforming, and validating

Git (GitHub/GitLab)
Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Active use of AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to speed up analysis and development
