· 5+ years of experience in AWS and cloud-based infrastructure
· Proven experience migrating applications from on-premise or co-location environments to AWS
· Hands-on experience with EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, load balancers, and networking configuration
· Experience working with application architectures and dependencies (language-agnostic)
· Familiarity with at least one backend ecosystem (e.g., Java, .NET, or similar)
· Experience with build and deployment processes (CI/CD pipelines)
· Solid understanding of system integrations and database migration strategies
· Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments with limited documentation
Assess existing application architecture, including legacy and monolithic systems
· Identify system dependencies: databases, file storage, integrations, and network and security constraints
· Design and execute migration strategies to AWS, including lift-and-shift (EC2-based) and re-platforming where appropriate
· Configure and manage AWS infrastructure: EC2, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, VPC, subnets, routing, and security groups
· Plan and execute database migration strategies using RDS or equivalent
· Troubleshoot migration blockers such as hardcoded IPs, firewall rules, and legacy configurations
· Implement logging, monitoring, and performance tuning using CloudWatch
· Collaborate with client stakeholders on access, validation, and cutover planning
